Dr. Albena Björck

Albena Björck is an Associate Professor at the ZHAW School of Management and Law (Switzerland). 


Her research focuses on purpose-driven organizations, their positioning, renewal, and resilience, and draws from cross-disciplinary and human-centered perspectives. Björck is currently affiliated with the Center of Design Research at Stanford U

Albena Björck is an Associate Professor at the ZHAW School of Management and Law (Switzerland). 


Her research focuses on purpose-driven organizations, their positioning, renewal, and resilience, and draws from cross-disciplinary and human-centered perspectives. Björck is currently affiliated with the Center of Design Research at Stanford University. She is a SIG and Track Chair “Purpose-driven Strategies” in the Strategic Management Division at EURAM. Björck has 20+ years' experience as an executive and advisor and a track record in purpose-driven management. Currently, Björck is a founder of the Swiss Purpose-In-Action-Lab, a platform for action research and strategic collaboration with MNEs.

Nicole Steller is a Research Associate at the Reinhard-Mohn Institute of Management at Witten/Herdecke University in Germany. 


Her academic background is enriched by a Master's degree in 'International Strategic Management' at Lund University and fortified by dual bachelor's degrees in Cultural and Philosophical Studies as well as Business

Her academic background is enriched by a Master's degree in 'International Strategic Management' at Lund University and fortified by dual bachelor's degrees in Cultural and Philosophical Studies as well as Business Administration. Nicole steers her research toward understanding and pragmatically operationalizing alternative and sustainable approaches in business. Her doctoral research is intricately focused on exploring 'Purpose-Driven Businesses', particularly at the intersection between Corporate Purpose and Strategy.
